QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • NYS Teaching Certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience teaching elementary-aged students preferred.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Google Classroom.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking passionate and experienced Elementary General Education Teachers, Special Education Teachers, and Teaching Assistants to join our growing team for the 2025-2026 school year. Teachers at Amani are leaders in the classroom, committed to building strong relationships with students and fostering an environment where academic excellence and personal growth go hand in hand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop lesson plans for in-class and virtual instruction.
  • Create and maintain digital classrooms using Google Classroom and other online platforms.
  • Analyze and use assessment data to inform instructional strategies.
  • Monitor and manage student behavior effectively, reinforcing positive behaviors and addressing challenges.
  • Participate in annual two-week staff orientation and training.
