REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A part-time (.25 FTE) Science 8- 10 position is available at West Vancouver Secondary School effective September 2, 2025 to June 30, 2026.

• Appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching Science
• Post-secondary coursework and/or ELL instructional certification considered an asset
• Knowledgeable in the use of Proficiency Scales for assessment
• Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Core Competencies, Big Ideas, and Learning Standards for the appropriate curricular area
• Hold a valid BC Professional Teaching Certificate
• Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology with the curriculum.
• An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners.

• A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills.A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
