Description:

As part of the Marketing Analytics Industrial Placement, you’ll develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours to inform your career choices and contribute to the development and improvement of Nationwide’s processes, products and services in your department.
Over the course of 12-months, you’ll join the Marketing Analytics, Effectiveness & Brand Performance team, building your skills and knowledge in measuring marketing performance, data analytics, visualisation & reporting.
You’ll be working as part of the Marketing Effectiveness team to develop reporting frameworks and ensure we’re effectively measuring our regular personalised marketing activity.
You’ll need to be competent in understanding and analysing data to make recommendations on success criteria and help draw conclusions about the performance to enable the squads to make improvements and optimise activity accordingly. It’s vital that you can bring the data to life through visualisation and communication of the key performance trends, ensuring that different audiences understand the core messages to take away from the data. This role is key to ensure the business understands and optimises marketing performance.
We’ll need you to build rewarding relationships across the organisation and externally to understand customer needs, resolve problems and support the delivery of the Society blueprint.
You’ll also attend development workshops and complete a project with other Industrial Placements aligned to our Social Impact strategy. Our Industrial Placements provide a direct pathway to our graduate development programmes post-University.
Our Customer, Brand & Engagement function’s role is understanding customers and engagement opportunities by segment, together with building compelling experiences and communications that are personalised at an individual level, which will deliver a major shift as we transform to become a modern mutual. The Personalisation & Performance Marketing team are responsible for delivering personalised interactions that are meaningful to our customers and report on and manage brand performance. They oversee the planning and development of the Customer Contact Strategy, defining how we reach and engage customers in 1:1 channels, including the strategy for Marketing Consent.
Location
At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.
For this job you’ll spend at least two days per week, based at either our Swindon or London office. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here.
