JOB TITLE: Director, Information Technology

Candidates are required to reside in the province of Ontario or National Capital Region, maintain a private and safe workspace, and have a high-quality internet connection.
HOURS OF WORK: 35 Hours/Week
ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Director Digital Transformation, the Director Information Technology is responsible for system-wide technology planning and execution through the leadership of two teams: Business Systems and Infrastructure. The position works closely with senior leaders to develop strategic and operational plans in alignment with the WSPS strategy. The position provides direction for planning, prioritization, design, implementation, support, operations, and maintenance of all WSPS technology.
The Director oversees how WSPS can leverage technology, people, products and processes to expand health & safety impact and deliver greater customer value. The Director ensures the right resources are available and appropriately assigned to best meet organizational needs and provides the necessary support and resources to ensure a high-performing, well-developed, and engaged workforce. The core accountability for the Director is ensuring high quality services are provided to WSPS staff and customers, on time and within budget, resulting in high satisfaction and measurable success. As a WSPS leader, the Director builds strong relationships with key customers and external stakeholders. The Director has a strong understanding of needs and WSPS’ value proposition in helping them meet their business objectives.
