Job Description The Procurement Manager is responsible for planning, leading, and managing the organization’s procurement activities to ensure the timely, cost‑effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services. This role oversees supplier selection, contract negotiation, cost management, risk mitigation, and procurement governance while ensuring alignment with company policies, budget objectives, and operational requirements. Strategic Procurement Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and cost‑optimization targets. Identify opportunities for savings through supplier consolidation, renegotiation, and process improvement. Lead sourcing initiatives, including competitive bidding, RFQs, RFPs, and supplier evaluations. Vendor & Contract Management Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers in accordance with company standards. Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, service levels, and contractual agreements. Monitor supplier performance, compliance, and risk; address issues and implement corrective actions. Operational Procurement Management Oversee purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement workflows Ensure timely availability of materials, services, and equipment to support business operations. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Legal, and end‑users) on procurement needs. Cost Control & Compliance Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements. Maintain proper documentation, audit trails, and contract records. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop procurement specialists Set performance goals, monitor KPIs, and conduct performance evaluations Promote ethical procurement practices and professionalism within the team Risk Management & Continuous Improvement Assess and mitigate procurement‑related risks (supply continuity, vendor dependency, pricing volatility) Improve procurement systems, tools, and processes Support digital procurement initiatives and automation projects Qualifications Minimum 5–8 years of procurement or supply chain experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role End‑to‑end procurement process expertise. Demonstrates strong working knowledge of sourcing, contract management, and supplier negotiations. Experience working with ERP or procurement systems (e.g., WorkDay, SAP) Strong negotiation and commercial acumen. Solid understanding of procurement ethics and compliance. Highly effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills. Strong leadership capability with a focus on team performance and development. High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
