Description Admissions/Golf Cashier OC Waterpark ~ Ocean City, NJ Age- 16+ Position Snapshot: The Cashier position is responsible for maintaining guest service, generating sales, housekeeping, Cash register operations (POS) and loss prevention in adherence to all company policy standards. The cashier is responsible for the correct handling of all monetary transactions to always ensure our guests' satisfaction. Our admissions staff is one of the most important areas of our park. The Admissions department is the very first department that our guests encounter when they enter the park. For this reason, we MUST make a good first impression. In this department as well as in the whole park, image and attitude are especially important. We are looking for friendly, outgoing cashiers for our front gate and golf areas. Minimum Qualifications: Must be 16+ years of age Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention. Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media account abilities at POS registers An outgoing, friendly, energetic person willing to interact with customers, providing a friendly greeting and exchange is required. Be able to answer various questions about ticket prices, the admission system, height restrictions, locations of bathrooms, first-aid, Guest Services, and other frequent questions. Answers to questions are explained during training. Admissions cashiers are required to stand for extended periods of time, perform repetitive tasks, and have a high-level of interaction with customers and co-workers. Admissions cashiers may be required to work outside as a Greeter. Basic math skills are required. Ticket selling guides and calculators are always available. Cashiers must be comfortable around computers. Cashiers must be comfortable talking to guests and solving problems. Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with OC Waterpark safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and at minimum two holiday periods to meet business needs Meets OC Waterpark's attendance requirements as outlined in OC Waterpark's attendance policies Adheres to OC Waterpark's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures Other duties may be assigned Expected hours of work- Due to the nature of this business, we require that employees be available to work a varied schedule. We require that you be available to work weekends and holidays from May to September. Fall hours are available on weekend Adventure Golf is open.
