Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer . This position will be located at our Mission Systems sector in Philadelphia, PA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Maritime/Land Sensors and Systems division, Marine Systems business unit. Marine Systems is a leading provider of launcher systems, propulsion systems, and power generation systems for naval submarines and surface ships. Roles and Responsibilities As a Mechanical Engineering team member, you will drive and contribute to design and development of critical components and systems for naval propulsion and power generation applications involving turbines, electric motors, gearboxes and generator sets. He/she will be developing new designs from concept through detailed design, manufacture and test phases. Job responsibilities also include supporting manufacturing activities on existing production contracts. Travel may be required to support supplier and customer meetings. Basic Qualifications: A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution. Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Design Technology from an accredited institution. Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. Preferred Qualifications: Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher Experience with Creo Parametric or Siemens NX Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
