JOB SUMMARY:

The Electrical Engineer Co-op at Thermo King provides current college students with challenging assignments, leadership training, valuable exposure to our company’s senior leaders and opportunities to network. The two semester co-program offers candidates working toward their Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering exposure to variety assignments which could include: New Product Development, FMEA & DFMEA, Value Analysis/Value Engineering, Product Design, Component and Reliability Testing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Actively pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Undergraduate student in their junior, or senior year; or graduate student.
  • Must be available to work Full-time for 6-8 consecutive months (May-December)
  • U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
Responsibilities
  • Work with senior engineers and product managers to develop hardware designs and debug new or experimental embedded controllers.
  • Assist senior engineers with board level validation testing.
  • Assist Senior engineers with development, testing, and analysis of embedded controllers and sensor systems.
  • Maintain orderly project records. Analyze, condense, and present data results and recommendations to the controls engineering team.
  • Assist engineering team with managing bills of materials.
