Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.   The RCH is committed to the Child Safe Standards.  RCH enjoys high employee engagement and is committed to staff safety and a positive culture through enactment of our Compact.   For further Information on RCH is available here.    2026 General Medicine Senior Registrar HM25- HM30 Work for Australia’s leading Children’s Hospital  Friendly and supportive team environment Parental leave cover February 2026 – February 2027 Fixed Term / Part Time role available   About the Role The Department of General Medicine has available a parental leave Part Time / Fixed Term up to 0.4eft Senior Registrar role, available February 2026 – February 2027.  You will be part of the General Medicine broader team and will be involved in the delivery of clinical service in either the Short Stay Unit, Outpatient setting, as well as hospital leadership in the Evening Medical Lead role, involving co-ordination of junior medical staff workload and collaboration across the hospital. You will participate in the weekend Evening Medical Lead or Short Stay Unit roster (approx. 1 in 5 weekends) and the Junior Medical Staff on-call roster. Classification for this position will range from HM25 – HM30   What you’ll achieve: Clinical care of acute general paediatric conditions for patients  expected to require admission
Responsibilities
You will be involved in the delivery of clinical service in the Short Stay Unit and Outpatient setting, as well as hospital leadership in the Evening Medical Lead role. This includes co-ordination of junior medical staff workload and collaboration across the hospital.
