Join the enthusiastic ICU team at Werribee Mercy Hospital as an ICU Registrar. Applications are open to Australian Residents holding AHPRA Registration and International Medical Graduates holding a working visa and registered with AHPRA. The ICU has physical capacity for 8 beds. It is a newly developed (2018), state of the art unit equipped to provide hemodynamic and respiratory support, renal replacement therapy (RRT) and a medical emergency team (MET) service. The ICU is the fastest growing service at WMH. Each year we admit approximately 850 patients, approximately a fifth of whom may require mechanical ventilation. The ICU runs a strong CICM compliant education program with protected teaching time and since its opening in 2018, has supported many registrars successfully entering CICM training. The ICU is accredited for six months foundation training and 6 months general training by the College of Intensive Care Medicine and is also able to provide accredited training time in ICU for registrars on the Emergency Medicine (ACEM), Anaesthetics (ANZCA), Physician (RACP) and surgical (RACS) training programs. Registrars are well-supported by the ICU Consultant team. Registrar salary will be as per the Victorian Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA). Full-time or part-time based at Werribee Mercy Hospital. Six month rotations in Anaesthetics and General Medicine are facilitated. Responsibilities
