Job Description The Role - The role will be part of the Product Excellence team, contributing to high-impact projects that drive product and process innovation across the engineering center. The engineer will apply advanced data analysis techniques and AI tools to solve complex engineering problems, optimize operational processes, and support strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a systems-thinking environment, is passionate about AI-driven transformation, and is eager to lead and influence cross-functional teams. What You’ll Do - 1. Dive into engineering and operations data to find patterns and insights. 2. Build smart tools using AI and machine learning to solve technical challenges. 3. Work with different teams to improve how we design and launch products. 4. Lead small projects or workstreams, sharing your ideas and guiding others. 5. Present your findings and solutions in a clear and engaging way. 6. Learn and apply methods like Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) to tackle complex problems. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) - Majors Required: STEM-related majors such Engineering, Data Science or a related field Eligibility: -Graduates or students expected to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree or higher from a 4-year accredited university by February 2026 - Language Proficiency: TOEIC score of 700 or higher OPIC and TOEIC Speaking/Writing scores will be converted to TOEIC equivalents (OPIC: IM2 or above, TOEIC Speaking: Level 6 or above) Graduates or expected graduates from overseas universities are exempt from submitting a TOEIC score -GPA: Minimum cumulative GPA of B (3.0/4.5 scale) or higher -Must be available for full-time internship -Preference will be given to veterans and individuals eligible for employment protection under applicable laws What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications) - -Has hands-on experience with data analysis tools like Python, R, or SQL. -Knows how to build and test machine learning models. -Have worked on real-world projects using AI or machine learning. -Know about DFSS, Red-X, or other problem-solving methods. -Has led project teams or student groups and demonstrated strong leadership. -Have led a student team or project before. -Passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement in engineering environments.
