DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

The apprenticeship will see you work towards your trade certificate, while working hands-on along experienced trades people. For the duration of the four year apprenticeship, you will be based onsite at a world-class LNG plant, Ichthys LNG based at Wickham Point, Darwin. Here you will gain invaluable experience across a broad range of technical areas on one of the world’s leading onshore gas processing facilities and be well supported along the way.
As part of the apprenticeship, you will be expected to work up to 10 hours per day, Monday to Friday (overtime as required) and attend offsite work placement and Trade School, to ensure you acquire the skills and knowledge needed to complete your apprenticeship.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We are looking for apprentices who meet the following requirements:

  • Strong interest and commitment to an apprenticeship in your chosen field
  • Successful completion of Year 10 essential, Year 12 preferred
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Local to Darwin, NT, with reliable mode of transport to/ from work and TAFE
  • Minimum 18 years of age, or turn 18 over the course of 2026
  • Proof of right to work in Australia

Successful candidates will be required to also undertake pre-employment testing including but not limited to medical examinations, drug and alcohol screening and various online inductions.
