Description Job Title: Paid Part-Time Summer Intern Job Location: Pinellas Park, FL Approximately 9:30am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday, 25 hours per week for 3 - 4 weeks over the summer. (June or July) Created in 1999, West Point is committed to providing innovative technical and business services to insurance carriers in the insurance industry. West Point Technologies is a family owned organization and is part of the Jerger Family of companies that also includes American Traditions Insurance Company, TJ Jerger MGA, Storm King Claims Services and Jerger & Sons Insurance Agency. We are seeking highly motivated Summer Interns to join our team. As a Summer Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in various areas of the personal property & casualty insurance industry and develop your skills in a professional setting. You will work closely with our team to assist with various tasks and projects. Areas of internship opportunities include: Sales Marketing Accounting Compliance Underwriting Printing & Mailing Information Technology Claims Handling Responsibilities Shadow team members to gain an understanding of the functions of the department Participate in relevant trainings Attend meetings and take notes Assist with various tasks and projects Provide support to team members as needed Other duties as assigned Requirements Must be at least 17 years of age and currently enrolled in High School nearing graduation within the next year Interest in pursuing a career in the P&C insurance industry Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Computer knowledge, skilled with Microsoft Office tools preferred This is a paid part-time internship and the duration is 3 - 4 weeks over the summer. Responsibilities

Interns will shadow team members to understand departmental functions and assist with various tasks and projects. They will participate in relevant trainings and attend meetings to support team members as needed.
