Description Purpose: The Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for assisting the lead counselor in fun and engaging activities for children ages 6-13 at a summer camp. The counselor will be responsible for help planning and implementing activities that are both enjoyable and educational, and that align with the camp's curriculum. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Assist the lead counselor in everything Help plan and lead fun and interactive activities that are age-appropriate and align with the camp's curriculum Prepare and set up materials before each activity Supervise and assist children during activities Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times Encourage creativity, self-expression, and teamwork in the children Collaborate with other counselors and staff to ensure a fun and safe camp experience for the children Be a role model and leader for children, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment Be ready to have fun and be silly, children love it! Physical Demands: This job may require standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods of time This job may require lifting or moving materials Working Conditions: This job will be performed in a summer camp setting, both indoors and outdoors.
