Looking to serve Jesus this summer, but not sure how? Join us at Ridgecrest! The Ridgecrest Summer Staff program is designed to give young adults hands-on experience in the hospitality industry. We offer free housing, meals and paid positions for our summer team. Summer Staff can expect to work hard, have fun, and grow in their relationship with Jesus! Job Summary Our grounds team works hard to maintain Ridgecrest's beautiful property. They spend most of their days outdoors mowing grass, weeding, planting & watering flowers, trimming hedges, and anything else that our property needs! Join this team if you like being outside! Essential Job Duties Campus Trash Runs, Grass Maintenance, Landscaping (pulling, grading, planting), power washing, spraying/pulling weeds Must be able to work on projects independently or with a group. Must have time management skills to ensure projects are finished efficiently. Must be flexible and able to adjust to a fluid workday & responsibilities based on changing weather conditions, coworkers’ availability and guest demands. Must be aware of and practicing Ridgecrest’s Grounds operating procedures. Must be able to work with landscaping machinery (mowers, weed eaters, trimmers) Requirements Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move 50 lbs Ability to perform repetitive motions (crouching, stooping, reaching, kneeling, climbing stairs) Ability to read & understand chemical labels Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours at a time Ability to work in environmental factors such as heat, humidity, noise, rain, vibration, temperature and atmospheric changes.
Responsibilities
The grounds team maintains Ridgecrest's property by performing tasks such as mowing grass, weeding, and planting flowers. Workers will spend most of their days outdoors and must be prepared for various landscaping duties.
