Position Title: 2026 Unaccredited Urology Registrar
Classification: Registrar Year 1 HM25 - Registrar Year 6 and thereafter HM30 (Relevant to year of experience)
Salary per hour (exc. super): As per award
Hours per fortnight: 86 (inclusive of 10 hours training time)
Employment Status: 12-month full time Registrar position commencing February 2026 (2 positions available)

We are seeking two motivated trainees to join our Urology Unit for a comprehensive 12-month term. These positions provide excellent exposure to General Urology, with a particular focus on uro-oncology, including procedures such as cystectomy, neobladder formation, radical prostatectomy, and nephrectomy/partial nephrectomy. Trainees will also gain experience in laparoscopic urological surgery, endo-urology, and both male and female reconstructive urology, including the management of incontinence and vaginal prolapse.
Participation in the Urology on-call roster is required, offering valuable experience in managing acute urological presentations.
Each trainee will have access to weekly hospital-based tutorials, along with regular educational sessions including pathology and radiology meetings, Journal Club, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
The Urology Unit is staffed by at least three FRACS (Urol) qualified Consultant Surgeons per trainee, all of whom are actively involved in teaching and supervision. The team is committed to providing a high-quality, supportive training environment with a broad range of operative and outpatient opportunities to help meet training requirements.
These positions are well-suited for trainees looking to build solid clinical and surgical experience within a collaborative and education-focused unit.
