Investment Banking Analyst The Analyst serves as a key member of the deal team working with Managing Directors, Directors, Vice-Presidents, Associates and Interns. Analyst responsibilities involve: · Preparing valuation materials, including peer trading and precedent transaction analysis · Building and updating detailed financial and operating models (including but not limited to three-statement models, DCF analysis, leveraged buyout models and merger models) · Preparation of transaction documentation including engagement letters, process letters, flyers, information memorandums, management presentations, scheme booklets and Target’s Statements etc · Actively participating in transaction team, including liaising and working effectively with other team and overseas offices · Play a key role in transaction execution by coordinating project workflows, managing due diligence processes and supporting senior bankers through each deal stage · Assist and support senior bankers in the origination and management of client relationships by preparing marketing materials and contributing to business development initiatives · Preparation and upkeep of market research and key databases, including gathering data on industry trends, competitors and macroeconomic factors · Assist in general project management, including the management of data rooms and engagement with various stakeholders and c-suite executives Qualifications and Experience Qualified candidates typically possess a combination of most or all the following: · Exceptional academic credentials; · A strong work ethic and the ability to perform well under pressure; · A keen eye for detail, strong numerical ability and logical reasoning; · Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly; · Demonstrable commercial awareness and a real interest in transactions; · Team player; and · A strong track record of excellence in extra-curricular activities alongside your studies.
