  • Prepare and cook menu items at the sauté station, including meats, vegetables, and pasta dishes, following La Madeleine’s standardized recipes.
  • Ensure proper cooking techniques and monitor food temperatures for quality and safety.
  • Maintain consistent food presentation and portion sizes.
  • Chop, portion, and measure ingredients as needed for daily service.
  • Keep the sauté station fully stocked with fresh ingredients, utensils, and supplies.
  • Follow prep lists and production guidelines to meet volume demands.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations, including temperature controls, FIFO (first-in, first-out), and cross-contamination prevention.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
  • Sanitize all cooking equipment, utensils, and surfaces after each use.
  • Coordinate with fellow line cooks to ensure smooth, efficient service flow.
  • Communicate promptly with kitchen leadership regarding inventory shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns.
  • Properly store leftover ingredients and clean equipment and work areas.
  • Ensure all items are safely secured and labeled for the next shift.
