Responsibilities

The advertised post is for an Associate Practitioner within the Medical Physics Department based within University Hospital Wishaw.
The service includes the installation, commissioning, calibration, performance assurance and repair of a wide range of medical equipment. In addition, staff undertake duties in accordance with the quality system operated.
A demonstrable knowledge of electrical, electronic or engineering principles with a commitment to undertake further training and education would be advantageous.
Knowledge of Electrical Safety or PAT Testing and IT/software experience are desirable as are the following; practical experience on medical equipment, workplace practice and techniques including Health and Safety Regulations, working knowledge of relevant legislation, national standards, professional and other guidelines and working within Quality management systems.
This post will also include driving to Health Centres etc. to perform the above duties.
