CLINICAL SERVICE MANAGER - LOTHIAN SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH SERVICES

The Clinical Service Manager reports to and is accountable to the Head of Operations for ELHSCP for the strategic leadership and operational management for NHS Lothian’s Reproductive and Sexual Health Services (LSRHS). This is primarily based at Chalmers Hospital but responsibility for service delivery across Lothian. The service provides the full range of reproductive and sexual health service such as abortion care, behaviour change, condom provision, contraception, gender services, gynaecology, genitourinary medicine,
genital skins, outpatient HIV care, menopause, PrEP provision, psychology services, psychosexual clinic, STI management and vasectomy as well as many other sub-specialist clinics and prevention and health improvement activities.
The Clinical Service Manager is responsible for leadership, management, and control of relevant Directorate resources (staffing, funding, and facilities), achievement of business performance objectives within quality standards e.g. local and national targets are achieved, the delivery of high quality and safe care, and contributes to the corporate management of the Directorate through the East Lothian HSCP and formal governance structure.
The Clinical Service Manager has a lead role in the development and implementation within LSRHS, and will lead service and capacity planning, as well as developing the vision, aims and objectives of the service in line with legislation and national and local policies.
