Job Summary The Loan Phone Agent plays a key role in supporting the Closing, Funding, and Financial departments by facilitating communication between brokers, settlement agents, and internal teams. This position ensures smooth and compliant loan closings through document coordination, issue resolution, and exceptional customer service. While primarily back-office focused, the role includes handling inbound calls and troubleshooting third-party service orders. Key Responsibilities Handle 15–25 inbound calls daily from brokers, settlement agents, and internal departments Respond to portal messages, emails, and chat inquiries professionally and efficiently Coordinate loan closings by scheduling, preparing documentation, and ensuring readiness across all parties Perform back-office tasks including document preparation, title clearance, and appraisal eligibility reviews Troubleshoot third-party orders (title, appraisal, hazard insurance, flood certification, credit reports) Evaluate loan applications for product and regulatory compliance Maintain accurate records of loan closing activities and ensure documentation is properly filed Demonstrate behaviors aligned with the organization’s culture and values Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in finance, real estate, or related fields preferred Previous experience in loan processing, title, escrow, or mortgage is preferred but not required Recent graduates with strong communication and organizational skills are encouraged to apply Ability to obtain certification in Fee Collaboration and Closing Familiarity with Encompass software is a plus Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorpark, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
