Position: Life Navigation Worker (2 positions available)
Location: Newton and the community
Hours: 35 hours per week (temporary until February 2026)
Salary: $26.78 per hour

We are looking for a Life Navigation Worker to join our Sources Community Living Services team! This individual must be passionate about working with people, engaging, and empathetic.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Sources Community Living provides all-encompassing care for individuals who have been referred to us by Community Living British Columbia. We are currently recruiting for a Life Navigation worker to support individuals in their homes and in the community. You will be responsible for supporting individuals in their daily endeavors, developing and implementing personalized plans to assist individuals in increasing and maintaining their independence. These programs support individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health-related needs. Our mission is to enable the pursuit of the best quality of life possible for our clients. We do this by fostering independence, well-being, and social participation.
Reporting to: Life Skills Assistant Managers and Program Coordinators

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You have a valid class 5 driver’s license - Mandatory
  • You have a clear driver’s abstract - Mandatory
  • A personal vehicle to use for business purposes - Mandatory
  • Person-centered approach and advocacy
  • Clear communication skills
  • Take initiative and work with integrity
  • Have sound judgement and decision-making skills
  • Have the physical ability to engage in a variety of home and community-based activities
  • Are knowledgeable or have experience in areas of mental health and intellectual disabilities
Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

PROGRAM-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keep notes and review progress
  • Plan and implement group and individual programming
  • Maintain a safe work environment for both staff and service users alike, including following and monitoring all positive behavior support strategies as they apply to clients in service. This includes being confident and familiar with Non-Violent Crisis Intervention material.
