POSITION SUMMARY:

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Superior invites applications for the position of non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity, to begin in August 2025. The department is seeking individuals who will provide excellent undergraduate and graduate instruction, contribute to the development of new cybersecurity curriculum, incorporate current techniques in teaching and research, and work collaboratively to strengthen the department’s programs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• Earned doctorate in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Commitment to excellence in teaching
  This position is currently ineligible for H1-B sponsorship. A qualification for this position includes independent eligibility to work within the United States upon hire date.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• University level teaching experience
• Experience teaching or developing curriculum in Cybersecurity
• Ability to teach broadly across Computer Science, Information Technology, or Mathematics curricula
• Experience or interest in online teaching modalities

JOB DUTIES:

• Teach courses in cybersecurity, information technology, and computer science in online and/or on-campus modes of delivery as assigned by the department chair.
• Assist members of the Math and Computer Science Department in developing curriculum in cybersecurity.
• Maintain a program of scholarly activity.
• Attend department meetings.
• Provide an on-campus and online presence to meet with and serve students and collaborate with colleagues.

OTHER DUTIES:

• Complete required trainings and professional development as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
