Job Title: Software Test Analyst Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week) Employment Type: Contract Overview: The State of Michigan (SOM) is looking to bring on a contract Software Test Analyst to support DTMB Agency Services. This role is part of the Quality Assurance team and will contribute to both project and work request efforts for the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD). Responsibilities: Write and execute manual test cases. Track and manage software defects. Validate test results and maintain testing metrics. Communicate testing and defect status with project teams and stakeholders. Perform preliminary ADA/SOM standards reviews (WCAG 2.1 AA). Assist with application vulnerability security scanning. Advocate for adherence to State of Michigan Policies, Standards, and Procedures (SOM PSPs). Support secure access, use, and storage of data across systems. Collaborate with business partners to uphold quality standards across websites, web/mobile applications, and IT systems. Minimum 5 years of general QA experience. 5+ years writing and executing manual test cases. 5+ years with defect tracking and management. 5+ years validating test results and tracking metrics. 5+ years communicating test and defect activities with teams and customers. 2+ years testing ADA accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA). 2+ years reviewing and triaging vulnerability scan results.
