QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PhD in highly quantitative subjects is preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in electronic trading and low touch applications
  • Experience in managing projects and relationships across front office and 2nd line control functions
  • Strong knowledge in internal and external control and regulatory requirements in electronic trading
  • Familiarity or the ability to quickly understand and formulate application level requirements pertaining to complex workflows, or integration with external applications
  • Experience in driving cross functional projects across business and technology and communicating expectations and progress to senior business stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with tremendous attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Java, KDB and Q, master at least one scripting language such as Python for prototyping

Responsibilities
  • Take a leading role in design and implementation of analytics that monitor the performance of our models and strategies
  • Oversee the performance of existing models and strategies in production, keep track of changes in the performance and work closely with the quant and quant dev team to address any issues as they arise.
  • Work closely with technology department to drive the creation of automatic development testing framework, incorporate production performance analytics into the framework and oversee the implementation of new models and strategies and changes to existing ones to ensure appropriate test coverage.
  • Lead the rollout of models and strategies and changes to existing ones to ensure rollout is timely and aligned with business goals and the requirements of internal/external control functions.
  • Monitor/maintain existing models and strategies including periodic gap analysis, managing control remediation, performing conduct risk reviews, and maintain up to date communications with internal/external control functions.
  • Liaise with various risk functions, including compliance risk, model risk and operational risk across all aspects of e-trading.
  • Partner with electronic trading team to identify revenue generation opportunities, emerging needs for new models and strategies.
  • Partner with electronic client management team to design and implement new client-specific pricing and hedging strategies as well as corresponding analytics.
  • Partner with electronic sales team to identify emerging client needs, work with product team, trading team and quant team to design LTA applications to improve client satisfaction and market share.
