  Responsibilities: Under the supervision of a Clinical Coordinator for  Families Forward Crisis Services, staff serving Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic individuals in need of specialized behavioral health service providing a supportive atmosphere to children experiencing acute mental health crisis and their families. Provides assistance to therapist and interacts with consumers in a short term crisis intervention program. Duties include a variety of supportive services and direct interventions with children experiencing behavioral health crisis. Some youth and family skill based groups. Transportation of consumers and families possible. Responsible for maintaining a secure environment. Data collection. Services will be provided in the office, on the CSU unit, community and consumer’s home. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures. Requirements: Minimum High School diploma or G.E.D.is required.  A minimum of six months’ experience with emotionally impaired children and families is required.  Expectation of a varied schedule to include afternoon, evening, and weekend hours. Person must be able to work cooperatively with others and possess good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to re-certify in CPR/First Aide each year following employment. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.  Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record, and pass a Central Registry Screening annually.
