Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Crisis Services, will serve individuals requiring an enhanced level of support for substance use disorders and/or Co-occurring disorders who access CMHA-CEI’s Crisis Services.  The Recovery Coach will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator to individuals seeking recovery to help access services and supports, prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies, and procedures.   This position will be a flex position working both; in the office and with the expectation to deploy with the mobile staff into the community to meet with individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Requirements: Possession of a high school diploma or G.E.D. is required. Must have two continuous years in recovery from addiction(s) with experience navigating treatment services and/or prevention; experience receiving publicly funded treatment and recovery services for addiction. One year of experience interacting with people with substance use disorder is required. Must possess MDHHS Peer Recovery Coach certification or the MCBAP Certified Peer Recovery Mentor certification. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing is required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job-related use is required.   Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a criminal background check (including fingerprinting), a physical exam, and verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record. Must be able to pass a physical exam annually. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.    Salary/Hours: $20.82 - $22.47 per hour. Sunday - Wednesday 8pm - 6am.   Location: Crisis Services – Adult Mental Health Services, Lansing, MI
