This position offers a $2,000 (1 year stay-on agreement) or 4,000 (2 year stay-on agreement) Sign On Bonus with the agency! This bonus will be provided upon completion of a probationary period. Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the BCU Coordinator, serves as a licensed, master's level professional clinician performing a wide range of direct and indirect mental health and co-occurring substance abuse services within the Bridges Crisis Unit (BCU). In conjunction with the BCU Coordinator, will provide clinical oversight to the BCU program, ensuring relevant and ethical therapeutic interventions, groups, and activities are conducted during consumers’ crisis bed stay. Ensures proper training and support to bachelor’s level clinicians and paraprofessionals. Assesses and takes the lead in clinical processes such as admission referral review, clinical consultations with other service providers within CMHA-CEI, and any treatment planning related meetings. Addresses challenging behaviors and emotional trauma by interviewing and observing consumers, reviewing appropriate records, and developing a specific treatment plan, often using a strength-based model. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures. Requirements: Possession of a master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or related field is required. Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is required (LMSW, LLMSW, LLPC, LPC, LLP, FLP, etc.). One year of experience (professional or paraprofessional) working with persons with mental illness required or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience working with persons with mental illness required. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Candidate must be able to work well with others. Candidate may be expected to work occasional evening hours and possibly at alternative locations. Access to reliable means of transportation for job related use is required. Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history.
