Instructor – 2D/3D Animation & Digital Arts Program
Location: Maritime Business College, Halifax, Nova Scotia
About Us
Founded in 1899, Maritime Business College is the second-oldest private career college in Canada. Recently re-located to our historic neighbourhood in downtown Halifax—the cultural heart of Atlantic Canada—we are entering an exciting new phase of growth. To support this expansion, we are seeking dedicated and creative instructors to join our faculty team.
About the Program
Our 2D/3D Animation and Digital Arts Program is an intensive, hands-on two-year diploma designed to prepare students for careers in animation, game art, and digital media. Delivered through eight modules and enhanced study projects, the curriculum blends traditional and digital art, technical proficiency in industry-standard tools, and professional career readiness.

Key areas include:

  • Drawing, storyboarding, and design fundamentals
  • 2D/3D animation, rigging, and technical art
  • Game art and environment asset creation (Unity/Unreal pipelines)
  • Digital sculpting, texturing, lighting, and rendering
  • Professional development, branding, and portfolio/demo reel production

The program operates on an innovative overlapping teaching model, offering two entry points per year. Students also complete 200 hours of On-the-Job Training (OJT) to gain valuable industry experience.
