Job Description As a 2D-3D Artist at Ubisoft Montreal, you will play a key role in crafting visuals that enhance storytelling and cinematic presentations. You will guide the team to ensure artistic consistency, while directly contributing to the creation of images and animations that support the game’s creative vision. What you’ll do Create images based on briefs or concepts, following the cinematic art direction. Execute precise image editing in Photoshop. Research and present relevant visual references that fit the project’s style and universe. Produce simple 2D motion graphics animations (Mograph). Coordinate team deliverables to ensure alignment with the initial brief and quality standards. Support the art direction in preparing and deploying briefs and style guides. Set up posing, lighting, and rendering in 3D software or game engine. Develop creative concepts based on specific briefs. Provide constructive feedback to help improve the team’s output. Qualifications What you bring to the team Strong teamwork and clear communication skills. Sharp artistic eye and solid visual judgment. Adaptability and openness to feedback. Creativity and problem-solving with original solutions. Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Tact and clarity when offering feedback. Proficiency with Photoshop, Maya and/or Blender, After Effects. Familiarity with engines and tools such as Unreal, Anvil, Snowdrop, Vray, Substance, ZBrush, Premiere (an asset).
