Description The Comfort Inn Vadnais Heights is hiring a Part-time Guest Service Representative - Working the 2nd shift and working 3rd shift/Night Audit when needed. As the friendly face of the property, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience at all times. You will be the first point of contact for our guests and will provide information and assistance throughout their stay. Our Front Desk Associates are the first impression our guests have with our business, and it is essential that they create a positive first impression with a professional, energetic, and enthusiastic demeanor in order to provide an exceptional guest experience. Hours: 2nd Shift Guest Service Representative: 3pm - 11pm, including weekends. 3rd Shift/Night Audit – 11pm – 7am, including weekends. Must have the flexibility to work holidays. What we offer YOU? The primary responsibility of our Overnight (11pm-7am) to reconcile and balance all accounts for the hotel on a daily basis, as well as to deliver excellent customer service while interacting with guests during the check-in and check-out procedure The essential functions of the Guest Service Representative/Night Auditor position include: Welcome guest to the hotel and perform the check-in process Thank guests and perform the check-out process Answer all incoming and in-house phone calls Assist callers with making and/or changing reservations Assist all guests as necessary to ensure a positive experience Perform routine daily tasks Assume the position of the Manager on Duty Update all files and reset the system for the following day activity - Night Audit only Excellent knowledge of local attractions and entertainment venues Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time Requirements Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Great attention to detail Thorough organizational skills, proficient in accomplishing all tasks Considerable knowledge of computer systems for registration, reservations and backup systems Above average mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in hotels Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with employees and guests Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, some of whom will require a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy, to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts Education/Experience Comparable hotel size and scope of experience preferred
