We are seeking a reliable and adaptable 2nd Cook (Assistant Cook) to join our camp kitchen team. This role assists the Head Cook/Camp Cook with meal preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring high-quality food service in a remote, camp-based setting.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

· Previous experience as a kitchen helper, line cook, or 2nd cook in a remote or industrial camp is an asset
· Knowledge of food safety standards and safe handling practices
· Physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, standing for long periods, and working in confined quarters
· Ability to work in remote environments and adapt to camp life
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Responsibilities

· Assist the Head Cook with meal preparation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including special dietary requests
· Prepare ingredients, salads, baked goods, and side dishes as directed
· Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and food storage, following food safety standards
· Support with dishwashing, waste management, and sanitation tasks
· Monitor and restock supplies, including perishables and dry goods
· Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient food service operations
· Communicate with the Head Cook and camp leadership about supplies, schedules, and issues
