JOB OVERVIEW

The Chief Operating Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Plant boilers and Chillers as well as other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. As the Chief Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for all the 3rd class Stationary engineers, and support the rest of the maintenance department with day to day tasks.

  • TSSA 2nd Class Stationary Engineer license

Responsibilities

To manage and ensure that all 3rd class Stationary Engineers safely operate 2 Fire tube boilers - 350 HP high pressure natural gas fired steam boilers.

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the maintain chillers (R-134a), air dryer unit, air compressors, pumps, condenser, heat exchangers, evaporators, valves, and other plant facilities.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and up keep of the boilers and chillers.
  • Completes plant rounds, ensure water treatment test of boilers and chillers are being carried out.
  • Trace and solve pneumatic, mechanical, and steam-related problems.
  • Oversee daily safety tests for boilers.
  • Review records of boiler operations and water testing details in logbook.
  • Respond to emergency alarms of boilers, chillers, compressors and other equipment’s and takes corrective actions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to keep the physical plant in good working condition.
  • Performs duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager.
