JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Breakfast cooking experience is an asset
  • 2 years culinary experience in a full-service restaurant is an asset
  • Live fire knowledge an asset but not required
  • Must be innovative, detail oriented and quality driven
  • Must be responsible, able to take initiative, maintain supervision in a fast-paced high-energy environment
  • Creative, energetic, with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Culinary degree or diploma considered an asset but not required
  • Food Safe BC certificate
Responsibilities

As a 2nd Cook you rock the execution of all food menu items accurately, efficiently and consistently. You work cohesively with the culinary team to make sure the food coming out of the kitchen is exactly what it should be. The role also includes:

  • Managing food quality, portion control and plate presentation through 100% recipe adherence
  • Compliancy with all safe food handling, Health & Safety and Food Safe BC requirements
  • Complete understanding of F.I.F.O. and product yield
  • Following standards of cleanliness, timing, organization, production, food quality, and consistency through completion of operational checklists
  • Maintaining the work area, including all counter tops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with Health & Safety regulations
  • Ensure all products are prepared, held, and served at correct temperatures and correct visual appearance
