Description

With over 400 employees in seven global offices – from Amsterdam to Austin, Hong Kong to Melbourne – UNS is more than an architecture firm. We’re a collective of thinkers, problem solvers, and creative minds working across disciplines to shape a better world. Whether it’s cities or airports, bridges or brands, we design solutions that address real societal challenges.
We rethink traditional ways of working – not just in design, but in how we collaborate, use technology, and plan for the future. We see IT as an integral part of this. By connecting tools, systems, and people in smarter ways, we empower our teams and contribute to greener, healthier, and more resilient communities.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for someone who’s not satisfied with treating symptoms — but wants to understand and solve the root cause. Whether it’s ten people with the same software crash or a growing stack of phishing emails, you don’t just react — you ask: Why? What’s behind this? And how can we fix it for good?
At UNS, we support teams across different departments and countries. That means varied challenges, a broad tech landscape, and plenty of opportunities to rethink the way things are done. You’ll be working at the intersection of user support and infrastructure — translating IT complexity into clear solutions that make a real difference.
This isn’t a typical 1st or 2nd line role. It’s about spotting patterns, educating users, optimizing systems, and being curious enough to challenge the status quo.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a core point of contact between business and technology, you’ll identify root causes, propose smarter solutions, and help shape how IT supports our teams across departments and countries.

This includes:

  • Resolving 2nd line (and advanced 1st line) issues and acting as an escalation point
  • Monitoring and improving system performance and reliability
  • Supporting department-specific tools and ensuring smooth cross-team integration
  • Leading user education initiatives (e.g. phishing awareness, tool onboarding)
  • Collaborating on IT policies, process improvements, and automation opportunities
