Responsibilities

Working with pride and integrity in the Technical Services team taking the lead to deliver IT projects involving physical and virtual servers, cloud servers and infrastructure, firewalls, networking and security solutions and migrations to a wide range of clients both remote and on site. Also provide expert pre sales technical support to Client Relationship Managers and an escalation point for Project Engineers and Technical Services Technical Engineers.

  • Enthusiastic, professional, customer-orientated individual from a complex IT multi-site background, preferably an MSP with RMM and ticketing tools
  • Can install, configure, operate and troubleshoot Microsoft Desktop Operating systems
  • Perform tenant configuration and complete active user, share and device configuration on the Microsoft 365 platform including Exchange Online, Sharepoint, Endpoint
  • Ability to provision, configure, operate and troubleshoot Microsoft Azure servers and virtual infrastructure
  • Install, configure, operate and troubleshoot an antivirus product, preferably ESET, Webroot, Microsoft Defender
  • Install, configure, operate and troubleshoot a backup product, preferably Arcserve (previously StorageCraft) SPX, Datto, Arcserve cloud services, Azure Backup
  • Install, configure, operate and troubleshoot Windows Server Operating Systems
  • Troubleshoot HyperVisors eg Microsoft Hyper-V and familiarity with virtualisation concepts
  • Complete basic firewall setup from out of the box and troubleshoot firewall rules and polices
  • Experience in dealing with third-party-provided services or vendors eg internet service providers, software vendors
  • Minimum 1 years of experience leading delivery of IT Projects preferably for a managed service provider
  • An appreciation of the zero trust and least privilege security models / principles
  • At least one professional certification such as Microsoft 365 or Azure ‘Administrator’, ‘Intermediate’ series – eg MS-102, AZ-104
