Description Senior Facility Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift East Peoria, IL $31–$33/hour + 4% Shift Differential 2nd Shift | Full-Time A Day in the Life As a Senior Facility Maintenance Technician, you'll be the go-to expert for keeping our facility operating safely and efficiently. Your day may include troubleshooting HVAC systems, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, responding to maintenance requests, performing preventive maintenance, and helping identify improvements that reduce downtime. You'll work independently, solve complex problems, and share your expertise with less experienced technicians. What You'll Do Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Lead complex maintenance projects and system repairs Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability Respond to emergency maintenance needs and minimize operational disruptions Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes Support facility improvement projects and equipment upgrades Mentor and assist the junior maintenance team members Requirements What You Bring 5+ years of facility maintenance or related technical experience Strong troubleshooting skills across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and maintenance best practices Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred EPA, CFC, Journeyman, or other technical certifications Experience using CMMS or maintenance management software Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable maintenance practices Additional Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical maintenance tasks Comfortable working on ladders, in confined spaces, and with maintenance equipment Valid driver's license Flexibility for occasional weekends, on-call coverage, or extended hours as needed If you're an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and keeping critical systems running at their best, we'd love to hear from you.
