Our core values embody the way we interact with each other just as it influences the way we interact with clients.   We are currently recruiting for a 2nd Shift Finishing Operator to join our team!  The 2nd Shift Finishing Operator is focused on setup and operation of commercial label inspector machines to include visual quality control. They will operate equipment to slit continuous lengths of printed material into strips of specified width. This position reports to the Finishing Supervisor.   Pay Rate: $18.00-$20.00/hour plus $1.00/hour shift differential Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday-Thursday, 2:30PM-1:00AM, with occasional overtime   Responsibilities:   Receives job assignments from Finishing Supervisor or Team Lead; reads job specifications and selects correct cores and rewind method for job   Reviews job jacket to ensure all finishing, packaging, and shipping specifications are addressed Inspect products to ensure quality integrity and package products   Observes flow of material through machine to detect irregular cutting and winding   Ensure quality of work to include color, size, die cut, perforations, print, and quantity of packaged items being shipped   Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging of converting jobs   Perform preventative maintenance on machines   Remove or replace blades on inspection machines   Completes paperwork for each job and packages finished goods for shipment to customer   Keeps work areas clear and organized; maintains housekeeping standards     Key Characteristics we are looking for:   - Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to read a ruler   - Basic computer skills   - Dependability and Reliability: Able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, keep commitments, is punctual and on time, and is able to take responsibility and have accountability for own actions   - Problem Solving: Identifies and escalates problems in a timely manner; Gathers and communicates information skillfully; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.   - Initiative: Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills.   - Teamwork and Collaboration: Acts as a team player that balances team and individual responsibilities; Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests; Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; Supports everyone's efforts to succeed.   - Detail-Oriented: Ability to pay close attention to detail, and understands the importance of accurate, high-quality work   - Demonstrates a strong work ethic and positive attitude.     Qualifications:   High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience   Manufacturing experience is preferred   Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals   Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals   Ability to read and interpret ruler, scales and other measurement devices.   Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus     Work Environment:   The work environment characteristics described are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
