What your day looks like:
Under the Supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and the Director of Maintenance will be responsible for keeping all equipment and the physical plant in operating condition in a timely and cost-effective manner. Review work orders and take appropriate action to repair or mediate the issue. Take calls from production or sanitation to repair breakdowns. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in all aspects of the maintenance operation. Maintain and observe safety and sanitary procedures. Follow all USDA, GMP, and Leidy HACCP requirements. Must see that all Leidy guidelines, Leidy SSOP, HAACP and government regulations are maintained. Maintain a positive work relationship with all employees and managers. Complete the necessary paperwork as required by your Manager. Perform all other duties as assigned in accordance with Leidy’s, LLC employee handbook and safety rules and regulations and all applicable laws and standards.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Effectively and efficiently repair breakdowns to support and keep production running in all areas of the facility.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to support production operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic problems on all plant equipment.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner to the highest quality standards.
  • Effectively communicate between shifts when work is passed along and detailed logbook entries.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with company safety and GMP policies/guidelines.
  • Support plant’s Continuous Improvement Program.\
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor
