Hours: 3PM-2:30AM 1.0 ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES 1.1 Must follow all safety regulations required by Company and OSHA. 1.2 Must follow all safety regulations required by Company and OSHA. 1.3 Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. 1.4 Required to shadow A class mechanic and/or Area Leader 1.5 Must observe and learn process of production and equipment knowledge 1.6 Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. 1.7 Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies. 1.8 Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. 1.9 Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. 1.10 Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. 1.11 Have a working understand of food safety requirements as outlined in BRC, SQF and USDA. 1.12 Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 1.13 Fill out Daily Maintenance Form. 1.14 Other duties may be assigned. 1.15 Required to stay in role for 1 year before advancement opportunities in another mechanical skill class 2.0 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 2.1 None 3.0 LANGUAGE SKILLS 3.1 Ability to communicate with others orally. 4.0 MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 4.1 Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Responsibilities
The mechanic is responsible for locating and resolving mechanical issues by observing equipment, using precision instruments, and dismantling defective parts. They must also maintain equipment inventories and document all actions and irregularities for continuity among work teams.
