Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Paint Lead to join our Paint Department. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring windows and doors are properly prepped and finished to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial or automotive painting, strong technical knowledge of spray systems, and the ability to lead by example on the production floor. Key Responsibilities: Lead paint operations, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in all painting processes. Set and adjust spray gun controls to meet product specifications. Operate and maintain various spray systems and paint equipment, including small airbrush units for detailed finish work. Monitor machine and spray operations to detect and resolve issues in real-time. Inspect products to ensure flawless finishes and adherence to quality standards. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and address challenges. Ensure team compliance with all PPE and safety procedures. Participate in training and mentoring team members to support skill development. Assist with special projects and support other production tasks as needed. Requirements What We’re Looking For: Experience: 1+ year of painting experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment required. Leadership: Proven ability to lead or mentor team members in a hands-on production role. Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of spray paint equipment, techniques, and surface prep. Work Ethic: Self-motivated with a commitment to quality, detail, and meeting production targets. Communication: Able to interpret instructions, collaborate with others, and work independently when needed. Performance: Ability to maintain 90%+ production efficiency and an error rate of less than 2%. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, crouching, and reaching for extended periods. Visual acuity to ensure finish quality and detail. Comfortable working in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and chemicals
