Description POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Robotic Weld Operator for our 2nd shift team. This role will primarily focus on the operation of robotic welding system(s). The ideal candidate will have hands-on welding experience, strong attention to quality, and the ability to support both automated and manual welding processes. JOB SCOPE: This position is responsible for the setup, operation, and performance of a large CLOOS robotic welding system on 2nd shift with limited supervision. The operator will prepare components through manual welding and fit-up, ensure accurate robotic processing, and perform post-weld inspections and secondary welds as needed. This role requires maintaining precise weld parameters, troubleshooting equipment and quality issues, and making independent decisions to support production flow, minimize downtime, and ensure consistent weld quality and accuracy. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES: o Operate and monitor the robotic welding system(s) to ensure efficient and accurate production. o Performance of daily maintenance checks for robotic weld equipment. o Perform manual welds to prepare and stage components for robotic processing o Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications o Perform secondary/manual welds and touch-ups on parts as needed after robotic processing o Load and unload materials and components safely and efficiently o Maintain a clean and organized work area o Identify and report equipment issues or quality concerns o Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines o Other duties as assigned by team leader Requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum prerequisite education, training, and/or experience required: Adequate training and experience (preferred): Minimum 2 years welding experience – robotic welding applications highly preferred. Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferable (preference: advanced manufacturing, engineering technology) Job Specific Capabilities: Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (CLOOS experience a plus) Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings Ability to read or understand programming code Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and computer skills Adapt to technology changes quickly and seamlessly Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective equipment and clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) Skill and attention to detail Communication – Ability to read, write and speak English. Must be able to articulate ideas and plans and communicate these accurately and effectively to others. Physical Capabilities: Hand Tools Used: Clamps, hammers, tape measure, speed square, grinder, wrenches, sockets, punch level, digital angle gauge Equipment Used: Two-ton lift, ten-ton lift, large part/equipment rotator, Miller Delta weld 452 Welder, hand grinder with various attachments, oxygen acetylene torch, Forklift, Robot Movement: Constant movement includes: walking, standing; Frequent Movement includes: climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching/squatting Lift and or Carry: 50Lbs Frequently, over 20lbs constantly, Over 100lbs occasionally with assistance.
