Description Set-Up Technician Location: Johnson Creek, WI Shift: 2nd shift (2:15pm to 10:45pm) Monday through Friday Saelens Corporation focuses on accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement to meet customer specifications while maintaining high standards for quality and safety. Responsibilities Perform the machining of coupling nuts, including the setup and operation of automatic screw machines Other duties may be assigned Promotes and maintains a flexible, cooperative, team oriented, and customer focused attitude within and between departments Keeps supervisors aware of pertinent issues, information, etc. warranting supervisors’ knowledge, action and/or resolution Ensures proper, accurate records are maintained, as required, within areas of responsibility Operate and setup automatic screw machines Plan and make multi-tool setups Perform functions in a timely, safe, and cost effective manner Make and grind tools as required Insures first piece inspection is performed Inspect product with proper measuring equipment Sharpen tools with grinder Ensure work area is kept clean and safe Trains and may assist and/or perform work of junior level operators Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 4 to 6 years experience Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions Possess sound working knowledge of machine shop practices for level of duties performed Able to read and work from prints, etc Able to use micrometers, calipers, precision measuring and inspection tools Analytical, problem solving, training, and follow through skills Benefits Paid Time off in the first year Matching 401(k) contributions Comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision insurance Tuition Reimbursement Growth potential
