HOURS: 4PM-2AM ESENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES • Operate Spice Room as necessary to relieve absent or on-break Spice Room Associates (which would include) o Set up, run and safety operate Spice Room machines including:  Kettle Room • Verify no changes made to the Production Set Up sheet • Transport ingredients into Kettle Room • Verify ingredients being transferred match the ingredients listed on the Spice Room Log • Hoppers  Slurry Mixers • Ensure spice chute lines up with correct slurry mixer • Utilize computer to select Kettle and Line Number • Retrieve recipe from Mixing Room  Kettles  Defrost Mixer o Before starting (for all machines) verify all guarding is in place o At end of shift (for all machines) ensure that have been cleaned and flushed o Verify information provided for the daily production run and location for each brine mixture created o Retrieve Production Set-up from Production Manager o Obtain samples and have sample reviewed by lab to ensure proper ranges o Record ingredients used and PH, sugar and salt ranges o Retrieve and maintain product quality forms and checklists for the QA Lab, including the Spice Room Log o Monitor production line to ensure spices are being transported (pumped) correctly from Spice Room o Must be able to work independently in hot environment o Complete all necessary paperwork • Transport spice to line as necessary • Monitor spice inventory and compare upcoming needs to inventory. When shortage is identified, retrieve spices from warehouse in a timely and efficient fashion • Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all Spice Logs o Ingredients o Temperatures o Gallons • Conduct training of new associates and cross training of other associates • Operate forklift to retrieve ingredients from wareSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide leadership, guidance and training to Spice Room Associates LANGUAGE SKILLS • Ability to communicate with others orally. • Must be able to read and understand English in order to read recipes MATHEMATICAL SKILLS • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. REASONING ABILITY • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.house • Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain spice room machinery, including kettles and slurry mixers, to ensure correct brine mixtures are created. Responsible for transporting ingredients, monitoring inventory, and maintaining detailed production logs and quality forms.
