Responsibilities: Math, and communication skills. Familiarity with machine controls / touchscreens Excellent communication skills, ability to follow directions Must also possess the ability to take direction from supervision to optimize productivity. The ability to read and understand blueprints, follow proper safety procedures, good eye-hand coordination. Ability to adjust weld settings and processes for different conditions to achieve highest quality welds. Ability to lift 0 – 30 lbs. without assistance and up to 50 lbs. with assistance. Identify types of joints and welds. Proficiency in usage of tools such as a ruler, tape measure, caliper to perform accurate measurements per specific print and drawing tolerance. Requirements Follow safe manufacturing and material handling practices. Experience working with/on a robotic weld cell. Monitor welding performance such as quality and efficiency Follow written and verbal details to complete assignments or jobs. Record time accurately including and labor reporting data. Weld products using fixtures to specifications with minimum supervision. Set-up and maintain machines including changing wire, changing gas, and cleaning nozzles. Must be able to wear required safety equipment including respirators, welding face shield, gloves and jackets. Must be able to work overtime, including weekends as needed. Must be physically capable of standing/bending/stooping/working with handheld equipment 8+ hour shift(s) Must have the ability to push, pull material and equipment as needed. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: 2 years of Mig/Tig steel, stainless steel and aluminum products. Emphasis on aluminum. Education Level: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience working with/on a robotic weld cell. Must be able to speak, write and read English-bilingual a plus This position is at our Elk Grove Village, IL location.
