Combining the areas of vehicle motion & safety, environment & efficiency and comfort & fun in one business unit we act as the one face to the customer, facilitating internal and external processes. We are globally responsible for sales, marketing and engineering for two-wheeler and powersports specific products. With our headquarter in Yokohama, Japan and branches in the United States, Europe, India, ASEAN and China, we coordinate two-wheeler and powersports activities all around the world. Job Description You will be responsible for the Product Compliance Management System requirements to ensure that the 2WP (Two-Wheeler and Powersports) products are developed in conformance to the relevant laws, norms, and standards. Your tasks include: Governance of the internal Product Compliance Management System Represent 2WP within the global Bosch Product Compliance network. Monitoring the organization’s fulfillment of Compliance Training objectives as well as evaluating the training requirements for associates in roles that have influence on Product Compliance. Investigate internal regulatory concerns and advise the top management on potential actions. This often includes liaising with the Bosch headquarter functions for internal investigations. Support internal and external auditing, including cross-divisional checks to ensure process conformity to internal regulations. Act as a consultant for the organization with matters concerns Product Compliance, Safety and Liability. Monitoring of updates to regulations, standards, norms and liaising with the respective stakeholders to ensure that 2WP products adhere to the requirements. Ensure the periodic maintenance of the State-of-the-Art documentation within 2WP. Maintain the 2WP specific product compliance release overviews to guide Sales and Engineering on allowable countries where our products be used within compliance to the local laws. The 2WP organization and its’ business partners are located across the globe, therefore the role requires flexibility to work across different time-zones. To accommodate this, the department offers flexible working hours as well as the opportunity to work remotely from home if required. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a professional background in Engineering, Quality Management or Legal. The ability to understand and have in depth discussion on technical topics is mandatory. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Very good communication skills, being able to explain complex situations and interrelationships in a structured and clear manner. Ability to evaluate technical conformance of a product to both internal and external requirements. Leadership skills, empathy, and ability to adjust leadership style based on different cultural norms and business requirements. Ability to take difficult decisions and implement them even against resistance. Proven experience in the effective application of problem-solving methodologies (8D, RCA, FMEA) with ability to analyze complex issues quickly and accurately.
