2x Senior Laboratory Specialist - Technical Operations Location: Bern, Switzerland This role supports the discovery, development, and advancement of new medicines for unmet medical needs from early research through clinical trials and into commercialization. Key activities include conducting scientific analyses, ensuring clinical safety standards are met, and maintaining accurate research documentation and information systems. The position also collaborates with regulatory stakeholders to support global product registration activities as required. The incumbent contributes to the design and implementation of experimental and manufacturing processes, supports integrated project and team activities, and helps ensure technical and operational goals are achieved. Responsibilities extend to providing input for project reporting and decision‑making, assisting with portfolio evaluation activities, and supporting strategies that promote effective resource use and risk management. In addition, the role helps address challenges associated with technology transfer and scale‑up, performing tests and measurements throughout development and early production stages while maintaining alignment with applicable regulatory and compliance requirements. Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities Contribute scientific and technical expertise to advance technology platform capabilities and support achievement of project objectives. Coordinate research and development projects at both global and local levels to ensure alignment, progress, and successful execution. Manage collaborations with other CSL sites and external partners to facilitate knowledge exchange and operational efficiency. Apply practical knowledge gained through advanced education and work experience to support experimental design, technical execution, and data interpretation. Work independently with general supervision to meet operational targets that directly influence departmental results. Address difficult technical or operational issues that may require understanding the broader project or organizational context. Influence colleagues within the job area by effectively communicating scientific findings, established policies, and standard practices. Job Specifications & Requirements Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree and/or extensive experience in a relevant scientific discipline. Minimum of 3 years’ laboratory experience with training in a relevant technical discipline such as molecular and cellular biology, analytical biochemistry, or related fields.
