JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance. The Van Driver will also assist in warehouse duties as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

QUALIFICATIONS, WORK EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCE-BASED SKILLS:

Full UK driving licence suitable for the van being driven (held for a minimum of 3 years).
Must be aged 21 or over for insurance reasons.
Experience in multi-drop delivery driving is preferred.
A forklift licence and training would be beneficial but not essential.
Experience handling heavy, long, or irregular-shaped items (such as metal bars and sheets) is desirable.

Safe and efficient delivery of metal bars and sheets, and other associated materials, to customers or between company branches.
Ensuring vehicle is roadworthy, clean, and compliant with company policy and UK road laws.
Contributing to safe handling and storage of metal stock within the warehouse when not on delivery.
Note: This reflects the key duties and responsibilities of the Van Driver role, particularly in relation to delivering metal products. As the company evolves, duties may change in line with business needs.

Pay: £25,396.80 per year
