Description

Our drivers are at the forefront of this carrying out over 500 jobs across 33 teams in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales per day.
We are looking for staff to collect and deliver furniture on behalf of some of the biggest Charities in the UK. As a member of the Boxmove team, no two days would be the same. We only work with the best drivers and strongest drivers who understand that we need to deliver service with a smile.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

You’ll need to be physically fit to lift furniture but you also need style, kindness and diplomacy to deal with customers. We aren’t interested in academic qualifications but you need to have the following qualities:

  • An honest and responsible attitude to other people’s property and furniture.
  • A friendly manner and good communication skills
  • Reliability, we do not want drivers who are off all the time or can’t make work due to a hangover
  • The ability to work well within a small team
  • A good level of fitness
  • The ability to work out the most effective way to load items (Tetris helps)
  • Excellent driving skills.
  • Must have a driving licence for at least 2 years with a maximum of 6 points
  • Must have no accidents or insurance claims in the last 5 years in any vehicle
  • Be required to undertake a DBS Check

Responsibilities

Collections

  • Completing a number of collections from customers properties throughout the day.
  • Ensuring quality control is kept to a high standard, checking items for damages and making sure furnished items have fire labels.
  • Considering health and safety and manual handling training is used when removing items from customers properties.
  • Ensuring customer service is kept to a high level, dealing with customers queries using sensitivity and understanding.

Deliveries

  • Completing deliveries successfully by checking the job numbers are correct.
  • Considering health and safety and manual handling training used when delivering items to customers properties.
  • Being considerate of customers properties and surroundings, ensuring not to damage deliveries or customers properties.

Van

  • Driving safely and adhering to road laws and regulations at all times.
  • Ensuring the van is kept clean, presentable and well maintained at all times.
  • Carry out daily van checks and weekly inspections and make sure any damage or faults are reported immediately.

Customer Service

  • Ensure you’re well presented and wearing uniform at all times.
  • Keeping up a good rapport and communications with the Charities you service.
  • Keeping customers up to date when occasionally you may fall outside of the customers expected collection or delivery time slots.

Communication

  • Reporting any issues that you may encounter to the office immediately.
  • Communicating any issues to customers in a polite and friendly manner.
