This family would like:
Adventurous family of six based in the vibrant town of Chinchilla, with regular trips to their nearby cattle farm.
The four little ones are aged 4 years, 3 years, 21 months, and a brand-new 5-week-old so there’s never a dull moment!
The children are curious, energetic, and love everything to do with the great outdoors, whether it’s riding bikes, exploring nature, caring for animals, imaginative play, reading or even fixing things with tools!
We’re looking for a kind, motivated, and hands-on educator to become part of our family life. The role will involve supporting the daily care routines of the children, engaging in age-appropriate play and learning activities and encouraging outdoor adventures and creative exploration and helping out during swimming lessons (yes, that means jumping in the pool too!).
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fun, active environment and enjoys being around young children at different developmental stages.
Accommodation is provided and you will have your own separate bedroom, and there may be the option to use a full house for a period 6 months.

If you’re passionate about early childhood, love animals and fresh air, and are looking for a rewarding experience with a lovely rural family, we’d love to hear from you!

  • The position will become 5 days a week in 2026.

You must:

  • Have obtained or are working towards your Certificate/Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care OR have a Bachelor teaching degree (early years or primary) and registered with the teaching authority board of the relevant state
  • Be an experienced child care worker with at least 3 professional references.
  • Have WWCC, Police Check, CPR and Level 2 First Aid
  • Have a car & driver’s licence
  • Be willing to commit for at least 12 months

  • Full working rights in Australia. (A range of visas may be considered depending on conditions and length of remaining stay - for example: visa 190 or visa 186. Applicants with 417 & 462 visas need not apply.
